My Story
Hi!
My friends call me "Stretch" (probably because I'm 6'6") and I'm just a regular guy who found myself addicted to Fentanyl, Percocet, and Xanax after a back injury. I started Fentanyl to Freedom in order to share my story of how I got there and how I managed to break the cycle and get my life back.
My sincere hope is that by sharing my story, I can bring awareness to the opioid crisis and educate people that it can happen to anyone. I also hope to be an example and show that it is possible to break the chains of addiction.
This site is dedicated to providing information, resources, support and community to anyone who is struggling with addiction, as well as those who care about them.
So read on to laugh, cry, and hopefully find a nugget of inspiration that will help you on your journey.

OUR MISSION
Fentanyl to Freedom is a platform built from lived experience, created to bring hope, truth, and real-world insight to those struggling with addiction — and the families who love them. Our mission is to share the raw reality of opioid recovery, break the silence around fentanyl addiction, and offer guidance, education, and encouragement starting with one survivor’s voice. We believe freedom is possible — and we’re here to help others find their way back to life, love, and healing.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to create a national movement of awareness, truth, and healing by sharing one powerful story at a time. Through speaking engagements, school programs, podcasts, and community outreach, Fentanyl to Freedom aims to educate, empower, and equip individuals and families affected by opioid addiction. We envision a future where addiction is no longer hidden in shame — but faced with truth, compassion, and real hope. Every life matters. Every story counts. And recovery is always possible.
